Crest Bobcat & Excavating
Ron Martens started Crest Bobcat & Excavating in 1998 after relocating his family from Brandon, Manitoba. Upon arriving in B.C. in March, 1997 he worked for his brother-in-law for about a year before deciding to go out on his own and hire his brother-in-law to work for him.

After his brother-in-law retired, Ron worked solo for many years, hiring the odd labourer here and there until his son Shaun was old enough to work full time.

After a few different stints of employment with his dad, Shaun didn't want ANYTHING to do with the family business!
​
After traveling to Australia for 8 months, finding a permanent place to call home, Shaun was out of excuses to delay starting a family. With baby #1 on the way, he figured it was time to grow up and get going!

In 2015, after another stint working for his dad, Shaun started his own company.
​
SnL Contracting started in 2015 and operated for 6 years until 2021 when he purchased Crest Bobcat from his dad and brought him on as Head Operator.
​
Since then, Shaun and his Dad have worked together. Having the combined skill and knowledge of the industry allow them to work extremely efficiently together and get your project done to your satisfaction!
